Yes, we find that outdoor portraits are best between May 1st and October 31st.  Mother Nature is in charge of whether or not we get to start sooner and go later.  We look for the grass to be green again and for trees to be full and lush with new leaves.  In fall, we are happy to photograph until the weather turns or the environment starts looking empty and brown.

Good news, we don't limit you on the number of people in your family that you get to include.  In fact, we love extended family groups.  Most of the time, we see grandparents with their adult children, their spouses and their children.  If you are lucky enough to have a fourth generation, celebrate it and make the most of the opportunity!    

Absolutely, your pets are a very special part of your family's life!  Your children have most likely grown up with your pet or your pet is a very vital part of your life.  Some people are concerned that their pets won't cooperate for the portraits, so we have helpful tips for you to use in prepping your pet for the family photography session.  We will make sure you have all the info you need to make this an easy and stress-free experience!  

Yes, we absolutely do travel with our portrait gear so that we can ensure  you will look amazing no matter where you might live or be going on vacation.

Yes.  Preparing for a family photography session takes a lot of time and energy and we want to make sure that you have all the different options available to you.  We usually will photograph couples, children, individuals, smaller family groups and siblings along with the main family group.  You just never know when the next time might be that you are all able to get together again.

The number one question everyone has!  Once we've had the opportunity to get to know you better, what you love about each person, where you want to decorate in your home and what kind of style you prefer, then we can make recommendations on color and style of clothing.  To make things easier for you, we've designed a Wardrobe Resource Guide to make it easy to make those selections that we will send you once your session is booked.  

We photograph Tuesday-Saturday.  Outdoor sessions with an environmental location are typically photographed in the evening about 90 minutes before sunset.  Studio portraits are available throughout the day.

Typically, a family photography session lasts an hour.  Depending on the number of people in your group and ages and location, it could be quicker or longer.  This is plenty of time for variety in groupings and poses.
