What is a Forever Session?

Kevin & Tracee's Story
A love story started when they met as teenagers. Fast forward decades, children and stories later, Tracee needed to capture the love and life she and her husband Kevin shared. Over summer, Kevin had suffered a massive heart attack and they didn't know how long they would have together. Their beautiful session caught their devotion to one another and the depth of their love for each other.
FAQ's
No, of course not. We do find that a lot of couples enjoy the excuse to dress up and make the effort to look nice for each other. Typically, a lot of couples will take advantage of looking great and will make a date of the whole day. If casual is more your thing, that's totally fine! We want to capture something that is still authentically you and if that's a t-shirt, jeans and bare feet, bring it on! There's plenty we can create with that kind of scenario!
We have a wonderful hair and makeup stylist who has been working with us for a few years now. This is a wonderful way to start your anniversary photography session and enjoy the time being pampered and taken care of. She will polish your look, enhance the features you love, downplay what you don't and get you camera-ready!
We get it, a lot of people would rather do anything else other than getting their picture made. We find it usually comes from pre-conceived ideas of what they think it will be...long, drawn out, feeling silly while they're being asked to do things that they would never do. Thankfully, we are quick, efficient and great at getting to know people and making them comfortable. The greatest compliment we hear is the guy commenting at the end "Well, that wasn't so bad!" 😂
Typically an hour. That's plenty of time to come in, change, have portraits made, change again with new portraits of that outfit and be finished. Sometimes we are all a bit chatty and have a great time which means more time hanging out with us.
Yes, we have a dressing room in the studio and you are welcome to change your look, in fact, we highly recommend it. During your Design appointment we chat about the looks to be captured during the session so it's easy to pull together ideas for wardrobe.
Sure, not a problem! During your Design appointment we will chat about the look you want to capture and decide where that can best be achieved. We know all sorts of great spots around to photograph with and we are very comfortable with working inside homes.
Yes, we want to create the best possible version of you that you love. We are happy to offer retouching and slimming to your comfort level. Although, you'll find that thru selecting the correct clothing coupled with beautiful posing and lighting, you may not even need additional retouching or slimming at all.
You've earned each and every one of those! Those smile lines are from your significant other making you laugh and smile all the time. The age lines show off the long relationship you've been able to share together. Embrace the change and appreciate the opportunity to grow old together. You are loved just the way you are but, yes, if you'd like some retouching, we've got you covered.

Life is busy, I get it. There’s family to shuffle to and fro, schedules to keep, laundry, dinner, activities. The hamster wheel that is your day to day routine can very quickly take over your life.
Before you know it another year has gone by. The last year can probably be summarized in a series of selfies and snapshots on your social media posts. But did you do anything with those images or will they reside forever in your camera roll?
I've started arranging couples photography sessions for the two of us when we go on trips together. So far, we've have portraits from Palm Beach, Charleston and Hawai'i on our walls. I love seeing the wall art in our bedroom. They are the first things I enjoy each morning (my coffee is a very close second!). Seeing the portraits brings back memories and are a reminder that the years are speeding by.
So, what's my request? Make an effort to capture the love and affection you have for each other with a couples photography session. Have someone who doesn't know you create portraits for you. They are different from anything that your best friend or neighbor would take. Maybe you have an opportunity for an anniversary photography session! Celebrate that lifelong commitment to one another.
