Playing around the Plaza, Kansas City

You’d figure photographing your own kids means the pressure is off, right?  No big deal, I’ve known these kids for practically their whole life (two of them are my “adopted” daughters…they’ve spent so much time at my house they may as well be mine!).  Well, my darling daughter had her friends from Washington state come out for a week to visit finally and I figured what more iconic location in the area than the Plaza was better suited for portraits.  It was so wonderful having my other two daughters (as I like to kid them) with me again and what better way to celebrate than with a impromptu photo session!  Well, let me tell you….

Enter cranky teenagers, hormones and the hottest and muggiest day EVER.

To be fair, it was in July and it was REALLY muggy.  If it was a client, no big deal, we’d all soldier through it and duck in for some AC occasionally.  They wouldn’t back talk to me, mope, whine, threaten heatstroke and everything else your teenaged girls can dish out.

I lasted for two locations at the Plaza….  🙂 Better luck next time I have them all together again!
