Mark Braswell-Strauss Peyton Portrait Gallery
Graduating with Honors from the Prestigious Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California, in 1968, gave Mark the opportunity for work for Gittings, the Nationally recognized, fine art portrait studio with locations in the Nieman Marcus stores in both Houston and Dallas.
Mark purchased Strauss Peyton in 1977 because of its history, reputation and its standard of excellence. Wanting to continue that tradition, but to also build upon it as a leader in the field of portraiture, portraits he has created hang in homes around the country in Europe and also in Asia.
Mark has been the recipient of numerous awards including Master of Photography degree and Camera Craftsman degree. He has shared his skills and talent with others through seminars in the US, in Europe and in Japan. His greatest pleasure comes from creating family portraits that he knows will be appreciated for generations.
Jonathan Braswell-Strauss Peyton
Jonathan grew up in Kansas City, attending The Barstow School and Shawnee Mission’s Center for International Studies. The School’s motto was to “think Globally, Act Locally”. Jonathan has managed to incorporate that philosophy into his very creative child and high school senior portraits.
In addition to studying with his own father, Master Photographer Mark Braswell, Jonathan has studied with top national and international professional photographers.
